Dr. Camille Smith, Founder of Dean Brannon Institute
Founder's Message

Meet Dr. Camille Smith.

Dr. Camille Smith, Ed.D. is an educational leader and student success strategist with more than 15 years of experience designing and implementing student-centered initiatives that strengthen engagement, persistence, and post-secondary readiness. Holding a doctorate in Educational Administration and Leadership in Higher Education from Northcentral University, San Diego, Dr. Smith has spent her career working across higher education in student success coaching, academic advising, behavioral intervention, default prevention management, curriculum development, case management, and first-year student development.

Her work has focused on helping students overcome barriers to achievement while building systems that improve accountability, engagement, and long-term success. Through strategic coaching interventions and targeted student support initiatives, Dr. Smith has developed engagement strategies that significantly increased student responsiveness and participation, while helping students create clearer pathways toward academic and career goals.

Throughout her career, she has led college readiness workshops, facilitated transition-to-college programming, and partnered across academic and student support departments to address the critical gap between academic preparation and real-world readiness.

Recognizing that many students graduate without a clear postsecondary direction, Dr. Smith founded Dean Brannon Institute to bridge that gap. Through Pathways to Purpose and Future Ready Blueprint, she partners with schools to provide evidence-informed programming that equips students with self-awareness, decision-making skills, and future-planning tools necessary for success in college, career, and workforce pathways.

Her work is grounded in one mission: helping schools produce confident, prepared, and purpose-driven graduates.
